Terms of service
Last updated October 21, 2026
These terms are the agreement between your company and Craft Operator for using craftoperator.com and the Craft Operator phone app. By creating an account or accepting an invitation, you agree to them on behalf of your company.
Your account
- The person who signs up creates the company workspace and becomes its first admin.
- Admins invite team members and choose their roles (admin, office or technician), and are responsible for who has access.
- Keep sign-in details private, and tell us at support@craftoperator.com if you think someone else has used your account.
Plans, trial and billing
- New companies get a 30-day free trial with every feature and no card required.
- After the trial, Craft Operator is a flat $49 per month or $490 per year for your whole team, with no per-user fees. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time in Settings → Plan & billing; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Payments already made aren't refunded, except where the law requires it.
- We'll give admins at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change applies to them.
Getting paid through Craft Operator
Online invoice payments are processed by Stripe through your company's connected Stripe account, and you also agree to Stripe's terms. Each online payment costs 2.9% + 75¢ for cards and 1.5% + 75¢ for bank transfers (ACH). That is the whole processing cost, including Stripe's own fee; it's deducted before the money reaches your bank. Cash and check payments you record cost nothing. Refunds and disputes are handled in your Stripe account.
Your data
- Your company owns the information it puts into Craft Operator: customers, jobs, invoices, photos, hours and the rest.
- You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy.
- You're responsible for having the right to enter your customers' and team's information, including consent for any text messages you send them and for tracking your team's location while they work.
- You can export your data, and delete your account or company, at any time.
Acceptable use
Don't use Craft Operator to break the law, send spam, harass anyone, access another company's data, overload or probe the service, or resell it. We may suspend accounts that do, and will tell you why unless the law stops us.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Craft Operator running and your data backed up, but the service is provided as is, without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error free. We improve the product all the time; if we remove a feature you rely on in a significant way, we'll tell admins in advance.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Craft Operator isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what your company paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Craft Operator and delete your company at any time. We may end or suspend an account that breaks these terms or doesn't pay. After a company is deleted its data is removed as described in the privacy policy.
Changes and contact
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and email admins before the change takes effect. Questions: support@craftoperator.com.
